Running Footstep SFX BP Help Request

Hello everyone.

I would be so incredibly appreciative for some help with a BP issue I’ve been struggling with. I followed this tutorial to build out a footstep SFX system (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I973d6ABTf4).

I tweaked it just a little per the comments to get it working in UE5, and it’s great! However, I tried to extend it with some sprint functionality, and the footsteps stop anytime I sprint now. Any advice?

It’s really odd because disconnecting the ‘set footstep interval’ node for the sprint causes the walk sound to play while sprinting… So it’s clear that the ‘Set footstep interval’ node for the run speed is affecting something… I’m just not sure what other than muting my footsteps!

I also checked out the assistance provided by @Mind-Brain here for another user in a similar thread, but unfortunately it didn’t fix my problem either.
