Yes, the look is definately cartoonish. Author could prepare some second, alternative material set for the assets, that would look more natural, but it’s up to him.

This looks great, and almost exactly what I need for a starting base for my own game. SIGames, I wouldn’t worry too much about the mood/style of the starter content, as long as the base systems are incorporated. We can always substitute our own style of assets / lighting.

We’ve had contact with Epic, but there’s nothing we can do until after GDC. Sorry for all of the delays.

I’m glad you guys like how it looks. Making a second set of materials is alot more work than it sounds.
Making a dungeon or Lords of the Fallen type dungeon-crawler will be easy and hopefully look great with the set.
We decided to go for quality over quantity, focusing on dungeons, instead of a catch-all solution with a bunch of mediocre stuff. If you want to make outdoor or different styled environments using the functionality of the kit, you can easily use some of the great environment kits there are on the marketplace, or create your own!

Hopefully that clears some stuff up! Once again, sorry for the delays. After GDC we’ll have more to share!

Wow very nice!

I’m just about to start to develop an RPG game. When you think you will be ready … your sample might help me a lot. I’m skilled developer, but never did a project in Unreal engine.

Or if you will give me access to beta I can contribute you back.

With large worlds coming in 4.8 I personally think that this would be an opportune time to release the kit
