Rounds in some Round Based Games do not progress to Round 2 after the post game summary of Round 1.
Quick Fix:
I may have found a quick fix to at least allow games to progress further: In the “Island Settings” of the game, changing the “Round Winner Display Time” and “Round Score Display Time” both to “0.0” allowed the game to progress. Having either of them with a time caused the game to time out.
Steps to Reproduce
Load into Go Goated (3305-1551-7747) or Bio’s Trio Zone Wars (4059-2791-0712)
Play the Round; due to the bug, it should be a fresh game
Play until the round ends; the scoreboard will display and the next round countdown will reach 0. The game will freeze and players will be kicked to the lobby.
Expected Result
The Round will progress to Round 2
Observed Result
The Round does not progress to Round 2; players are kicked to the lobby with a Network Connection Error
To add to this information: My game stops working too, but I don’t have a round system and the stops working happens at the initialization point.
What TheBoyDilly and my problem have in common is the presence of UI, his solution to the problem is to not display the UI at the end of the round, my solution to the problem is to not display the UI completely through verse ui. I hope you fix my problem too.
We add a custom UI verse at the very beginning of the game, we have at least 3 screen additions and 10+ early canvas initializations. Not sure if I can post the island code here
I played my map on Nintendo Switch ( different platform than where I noticed the issue ) and it appears I can progress to the next round. Is the issue fixed for you can you check?
