Round Settings Device - Resources

I just recently bit the bullet to convert devices and am having an issue with the round settings device. It seems to work with triggers and keeping items round to round but with resources no such luck. I’ve tried everything. The maps i have currently rely on gold carrying over round to round for spending but nope. The device seems off… Default is -1.0 to not override and 0.0 - 1.f(?) Is 0%-100% of resources carry over. Does not work. I actually tried different variations between 0.0 and 1.0 and it would sometimes carry over weird amounts. Then sometimes the same setting would result in zero results. Any workaround for this or the option in another place that I’m missing? I even tried using another resource besides gold and tweaked some things but that would not carry over either. The original device had no, and then %s for options. That has been replaced with what I mentioned above.

have you tried -1 ?
I would uncheck the Clear All Items on Class Reset just in case, even if your not using classes ?
Actually the Class Designer has Options to keep items,resources and game resources on eliminations, may be a long shot but could override.

I haven’t actually needed a carry over yet, but I had considered it for a future project.

Yep. Tried the default -1.0 as well. Sifted through a lot of menus looking for options that include the word resource that could possibly yield the same result as before the device upgrade but nothing. The class designer i believe (not in front of it right now) after the conversion just has keep items and the only resource specifications apply to eliminations. I spent all day off and on yesterday trying to find a solution with no such luck. I even got to the point to where I started a blank map and set up a quick round based mode and a trigger that ends the round to expedite testing different variations. Nothing.

That is disappointing, Hopefully someone who knows will show up, I’ll set up a blank map and submit a bug report, post back if you find a solution or work around.

Will do. I plan on getting to the bug report but cant just yet. y’know…work :laughing:

I can confirm that this is broken as of 26.10, there doesn’t seem to be a way to keep gold between rounds, as far as I can tell…

Yep. Last i checked its still broke. I did figure out a work around that is very involved but does work. So I was able to get my maps back up and running. I can reply on here with the solution when i have a bit more time to break it down if needed

Actually, I just discovered (with a bit of help on discord) that I had an item granter that was removing all inventory upon grant at the beginning of the round. Removing that solved it. Also, the “on-grant behavior” setting in the Team Settings & Inventory device should be set to “Keep all”.

So, in my situation, it’s resolved.
