Roughness On Material Not Displaying Properly

I’m having a problem with some of my materials where the roughness is not displaying properly. Shown in the photos - the left photo is the isolated green channel of the mask from substance painter in photoshop and the right photo is the resulting material in unreal with this roughness map.

I can’t work out why the material doesn’t seem to be using the roughness map correctly. Could anyone help me out please?


Check that your texture is set to a linear color space and not sRGB. That said it looks more or less normal to me. The whiter area is clearly rougher than the darker areas.
