Ripple appears on floor when moving

Hello! I am very much a beginner with UE5. I am working on an indoor scene using some assets that I purchased. In general it is working as I expected, but I noticed there is a weird ripple effect on the floor when I move. It doesn’t appear to be related to a specific location in the scene, it feels more like it shows up at a certain view angle, but only when I am moving. It appears both in edit mode and play mode.

The scene has the standard stack of lighting for outside (Directional Light, Sky Light, etc), but my room appears to be light tight, in that if I view the room in both edit and play mode with no interior lights it is black. Inside the room there is a rectangular light on the ceiling, which is the light source for the video.

Any thoughts would be very appreciated!

Thank you!

looks like aliasing artefacts. somewhere on the border where the mip map transitions and the detail of that carpet being too punchy.

I actually figured it out! It’s just a moire pattern from the carpet material! If I turn off its normal map the effect goes away.
