I removed 2 of my 3 monitors from use. Testing that now.
You are an absolute star. Fixed the problem and my productivity has just increased by about 500%. Thank you
This was 100% the reason!
I’m experiencing exactly the same issue, after some time while working the right click is not possible anymore. Resizing the UE window or moving the UE window on the second monitor usually fixes the issue temporarly.
I don’t have Task manager setting with “always on top”, I dont have task manager open, and I still get the issue.
UE4.27.2, Windows 10, Nvidia GTX2070, two monitors.
This problem started for me few months ago, I didnt had it before and I’m using UE since years.
everyone on my team of 15 devs has this issue…
I have had this issue for years, it’s annoying to keep restarting the UE project and hope that I get 20 minutes of work done before the menus start to disappear again.
One odd thing I noticed was when i was sharing my screen trough teams the person on the other end saw them when i did not. WTF.
Wow thank you so much, the reg disable did it!
Same here this is a very annoying bug.
This fixed it for me and i didnt have to downgrade my driver!
Not really the best fix, but it makes it more manageable.
Changing the monitor color to Nvidia controlled didn’t fix the issue for me.
Also, the issue persists even after using the registry fix. Unless of course, I need to reboot the computer for the fix to start working. I’ll try that next.
Applying the reg edit and then restarting may have fixed the issue. I haven’t noticed it for the last few days now.
How can this **** still be actual after over 2 years…
All Menus are disappearing when I click them, If I click Help toolbar, the UI is bugged and the menu does not pop up, but the menu is behind the scenes selected, so when I hover over the toolbar menu, and it is behind the program, the quiktip shows, but there is no menu. It is highlighting the menu items that are invisible, but the quicktips if I hold the mouse over long enought, they show as if the menu is showing. It is a HUGE problem with both UEFN and Unreal Engine as well. I restarted my program and it did not fix this either.
Im facing this problem under 4.27.2 for no reason at all.
Havent updated or upgraded anything but about 2 weeks ago, my right click menu dissapears as soon as it appears and have to restart Unreal Engine to keep it working.
Any fix for this?
Same thing happening for me in 5.2.1 (and I think it was happening in 5.2.0 as well) and UEFN 5.3.
BUT
I am working on a laptop and this thing happens only when I have editor on an external monitor. Once I move it to the built-in display everything looks ok while on it.
The monitor is connected via HDMI, but now I’ve also tested second monitor via HDMI and DisplayPort (USB-C) with same results.
MOREOVER
I am streaming and the menus are being captured properly - I cannot see them, but viewers (and me on a stream preview) can. So the issue seems to be related to just rendering specifically on a device. This is somewhat confirmed by the fact that I can still interact with the “invisible” menu. I am using OBS (streaming software) preview to be able to see what I’m doing
MY SETUP
LENOVO Legion 5 15ARH05H
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (I know, it hurts it isn’t Pro)
OS Version: 10.0.19045, Build 19045
BIOS Version: LENOVO FSCN26WW, 09/09/2022
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (mobile, ofc)
I have both integrated and discrete GPU turned on - “Hybrid Mode” in Lenovo Vantage, which I think technically means that Optimus is ON. Going to turn this off and see if the issue persists.
Tested it with hybrid mode disabled and the issue was still there.
Any news on the matter? Because this impedes my workflow by a lot.

to find the registry fix on Nvidia’s website and apply it, then restart your system. This is still an issue for me in January 2024 on a new RTX 4070ti, Game Ready Driver 546.33, and fresh install of windows 10. You want to run the Disable mpo to fix the issue and restore to put it back to the defaults.
Still have this in 4.27 + with a 3070, one screen, windows 11. I have tried the registry edit to no avail. I have tried all the other suggestions in here with changing the refresh rate and color settings in the nvidia panel but no luck.
Disabling taskbar auto-hiding in windows 11 did work for me. Hopefully for you too. Try it!
