Rider detects 20 errors in the source code of the engine.

-UE 5.2
-JetBrains Rider 2023.1
-Visual Studio Community 2022 (17.5.5)
Everything was updated yesterday (5/12/2023)

However everything works fine.
I can work and compile.

Best regards!!

Got few of yours error too, 9 errors in 4 files: ElectraPlayerRuntime.Build.cs (2 errors), ElectraSamples.Build.cs (2 errors), ShaderFormatD3D.Build.cs (1 error), DX12.Build.cs (4 errors). Cannot resolve symbol ‘DirectX’, and sill can build and run. But wanna fix it too.

I guess we’ll have to wait for version 5.2.1…

I also had to change some modules, and some includes, and some deprecated things but in the end I managed to compile.

At least everything seems to work fine for me. For now…

I’m sure they fix a lot of bugs in the next update.

Also, I think the antimalware service executable is hindering Rider’s file indexing… if you disable it, Rider load twice as fast.

i hate microsoft… :frowning:

Here are some articles about it…

There is a simple workaround in this post by Mikhail Zakharov in the Jetbrains Rider issue tracker:

same

the issue was fixed after fully uninstalling Rider and Unreal and then reinstalling them.
