Ribbon Material always renders as default material

I am trying to create a trail ribbon for my weapon, and so far everything is going smoothly, except for the material. I’ve created a new material. Set it to surface / translucent / unlit / 2sided, asigned it to my particle emitter, which is assigned to my particle. Emitter has spawn per unit which spawns it only once and i turn it on and off via blueprints using Start Trails / End Trails.

Any ideas on why the material wouldn’t shop up?



Resolved - something went off with my material. As soon as I’ve duplicated one of the materials from starter content and modified it to suit my needs it started showing.
