Revision Control issue - I cannot revert back builds.

Summary

I have been trying to figure this out for two days but I am completely stuck. I wanted to revert to a earlier snapshot of my island. But It is impossible to do so. After clicking on the button to revert builds it comes up with an error if i have no changes to check in - which stops the whole process. If i have changes to check in it checks them in but it stays on the current build and doesnt revert back to the build i want.

That doesn’t look good.

Do you happen to have some logs for me to look at?

UnrealRevisionControl.logand UnrealEditorFortnite.logfrom this editor session would be useful.

I will have a look now - thanks for replying

I’ve put both logs onto a word doc

Document.docx (UnrealRevisionControl.log)

Document.docx (UnrealEditorFortnite.log)

Could you please zip them instead?

@BenCreates_FN I was hoping to receive the log files as .logfiles - not .docx

You can zip your entire C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\UnrealEditorFortnite\Saved\Logs directory.

this should work. sorry for the confusiton

Any update of this?

Could you try:

  • Close UEFN.
  • Remove the /.loreand/or /.urcdirectory from your project directory.
  • Start UEFN.
  • Open project
    • This could take quite a while as it rebuilds your data directory.

I’ve done the following steps. Now I’m opening the project.

The project is now open. Should i connect to revision control now?

Yes let’s try it (could take a while to connect).

Hey, so i re-connected to revision control and the problem is still there unfortunately.

Hey @BenCreates_FN - sorry to hear that this is still an issue for you.

We have a new release of UEFN coming out today (41.00). It contains numerous fixes and improvements and might have solved your problem already. So let’s wait for that and try it out.

If not, we should look into setting up a live session where we can assist you.
