REVISION CONTROL GHOST ASSETS RE-CREATION / CRASHING

Summary

When checking into revision control with islands after update 39.00 Causes Previously Deleted Folders / Asset References, to show back up into the projects content folder. They can be deleted ( infinitely ) however checking in causes them to show back up. You can disable revision control, reset settings and re-Enable it too ; but that does not do anything to resolve the issue. Ive tried all of the following steps to remove the issue, nothing has worked.

EGL : Manage, and Verify Files ( of both UEFN & Fortnite )
EGL : Check for updates / Force Update

Disable revision control : and re-Enable
Go back in Changes and try to re-Save from that point ( in which a point where this bug was not present )

clearing any un-Needed LocalAppData on the Editor in my PC / Log’s

@Flak This is a Bug that causes Crashing and a large black out when trying to fight the Editor to remove the folders. Even when removing them from the ( File ) explorer on My PCs End, Revision control will RE-ADD them anyway. Ive been able to duplicate this effect in EVERY island I have in works atm!

Are these empty folders?

Are you storing your project on a location backed by OneDrive which can interfere with Unreal Revision Control ?

No- to Onedrive

Yes. They are empty sometimes.

Not being able to delete empty folders is a known issue (that is being worked on).

Are you able to do other check-ins? Add or modify assets?

Same issue from month ago, we’re stuck with a lot of ghosts folder, that’s really annoying for the project organisation

Yes, Im able to check in and modify assets, As long as they are moved out of the ghost folders. If they remain inside the ghost folders Ill crash

I didnt see the master post- So I did my own, However thankyou for adding this so I know now
