I have no idea how to replicate this but once in a while the revision control popup comes up and fully stops all development despite not trying to sync or check in. Revision control should be doing absolutely nothing until I ask it to, let alone bricking UEFN and then having to force stop the whole process without being able to save.

No idea. Just make stuff and the popup comes up and stops any ability to use UEFN.
Expected Result
this popup to NEVER show up and for revision control to never stop me from working unless I am checking in or syncing.
Observed Result
revision control bricks UEFN and stops all progress with no ability to save before that.
Hi @GraemeBB Very sorry to hear you’re running into an issue with this dialog. Though we’ve moved more revision control operations to the background lately, there are cases where these background operations need to finish before we can proceed with others, which is when this dialog will trigger. It sounds like you likely ran into some unexpected behavior with it though.
Could you please zip/send your logs folder found at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\UnrealEditorFortnite\Saved\Logs
do you recall if perhaps you were taking any particular actions such as renaming files when this occurred?
When you say it bricks UEFN can you confirm that you mean this process never finishes?
I left it for 20 mins and it was still there, at that point I’ve run out of patience and only because I went to throw the ball for the dog kind of thing, otherwise I wouldn’t wait longer than a minute.
