I made a big mistake, I opened my main project on 5.6 without making a backup and it destroyed all my animations and a good part of everything I had created since they were character created from start to finish in Blender, for the rige I had used several methods, mainly auto rige pro and wheeled houses for the creatures. I don’t think that’s possible, I have friends starting to recreate everything again, but you never know if someone has a solution for getting rid of this cursed version.
Hey there @Avytus! As MH mentioned, reversion of assets isn’t natively supported. It’s usually recommended to back up any project you intend on migrating with source control like Git or Perforce.
There are some ways to recover some of the work depending on what assets are broken and how. For animations, in some cases reimporting their original animation can help, but often you’ll be recreating them from whatever you can salvage.
You can always export the animation to fbx and then import back into the older project.
I dont think there is any file type that gets completely locked.
And the reason they wont create a downgrade process has to be purely beaurocratic. Generally if you know what you are doing you can hex edit .uassets and set the version to where they open.

Thank you for your answers, on all my models I have the following error “IK Retargeter bone chain, Root, was unable to be normalized. Chain too short.” when I tried to rebuild everything on 5.6, what is strange is that I tried all the retargeting processes that I mastered, the automatic, the ik rig, the ik retarget etc… but I never succeeded.
On the other hand, no issues with everything that comes from epic like metahumans or others, Mixamo no longer works as well.
But once again it was my fault I just made a click error after installing 5.6, I almost finished rebuilding everything on 5.5. I still have a good thousand animations, quite a few blueprints to finish.
