Im trying to retarget animations from the unreal engine skeletal mesh to my custom skeletal mesh i made in blender. Retargeting the animation works fine until i modify my skeleton’s rotation to better match the unreal’s a-pose. Doing so breaks my mesh and I haven’t seen anyone else with this issue.
Figured out it was an issue with my skeletal mesh in blender as I thought. Unreal didn’t seem to like many of the connected bones in my original skeleton. If you’re having trouble i recommend just using something like the mixamo skeleton as a base and modify it from there.
