We are aware of an issue where new installations of UEFN will not open and will close immediately. We are investigating and will let you know when we have more information.

I just updated my video card drivers and it worked.
This issue has been resolved and new UEFN installations should now open and work properly.

Confirmed the issue is not resolved on my end, verified fortnite and UEFN, updated nvidia drivers, restarted computer, no change

Still not working. Installed for first time 3 days ago. Tried to run again today, but same issue: it shows ârunningâŠâ but the app never opens and then it goes back to push âplayâ again.

Me neither, itâs not working on my end. When I launch UEFN, it runs and then stops without any error message. Iâve completely reinstalled it and it still doesnât work
Itâs still not working. Also tried the workaround, but no luck.

For me it crashes every time it reaches 73% when itâs loading Meta Human plugin, and it also gives different crash reports every time or just donât give any crash reports or just gets stuck itâs so weird

From my end, everything is working correctly. I used Revo Uninstaller to thoroughly uninstall Epic Games, and then I reinstalled everything properly. Now, everything is functioning as it should.
hmmm iâve disabled lot of baground services at msconfig, and its workingâŠ
But i didnt found yet what was causing the crash

Hi, [Solved Windows 11 UEFN 29.10 Install updated procedure ]
Just installed UEFN on Windows 11 it crashed.
Refused to log on with credentials failed,
Compiled Global Shaders failed
unable to create many files
hangs at 95%
Windows 11 has enhanced security to stop files being downloaded etcâŠ
Shutdown the UEFN 29.10
The answer would appear to be to click âRun in Administratorâ
open Windows File Explorer at
C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64
Everything now installs and runs correctly because all Windows 11 security is bypassed.
Once installed you can use the normal startup procedure.
This may solve problems in Windows 10 installation.
