This was mentioned in Office Hours (I think by @KyleDev ) and I wanted to reiterate that I totally agree. When I click on a post, I want to begin reading at the actual start of the post. But instead by default I’m sent to the very bottom of the comments, and I have to scroll all the way back to the top to read the original post. I’m willing to guess that very few people who click on a post want to read the very last comment on it before they read the original post And some posts have very long comment sections.
Personally as a Forums poster, I’m posting an ongoing devlog for my project and I add new entries to the top. It’s much better for readers to start at the top of my post, the newest part, since it’s already very long and has a lot of comments. Same with bug reports - if I need to add updates to an old bug report I add them to the top of the post, so I would like for readers to be directed to the top of the post.
