Replace Hand Mesh with Vive Controller,Vive controller mesh instead of hand mesh


I am wondering how I can replace the standard hand mesh that you start with in the VR Template to show the VIve controller that shows the input on the track pad and the trigger pull.

I am new to unreal so the more detailed answer the better.


The easiest is to go into the bp motioncontroller and replace the hand with the vive pre mesh (enable engine content and search for it in the content browser) - you have to clean up references in the blueprint.
To get more details you have to import the official controller model in the steam installation folder (google).
You also have to animate and code it by yourself. But the model has all the details.
