Rendering / specularity issue with Mesh

Hey guys,

I’m getting this weird rendering issue with a mesh I am working on right now.

When I’m close to the object, it renders just fine, but as soon as I zoom out, parts of the mesh look extremely distorted.

I’ve looked into the most obvious reasons I could think of - like broken smoothing groups, bad triangulation, normals, UVs etc.,
but the problem remains the same.

It’s especially weird since the problematic parts of the mesh and the separate objects don’t really match up (as you can see when you look at
the bonnet).
