I have RTX 3070 8 gb, whenever I try to render in path tracing with minimal setup it still crashes, any help, I am really struggling with this.

First steps would be removing any overclocks and making sure you’re not running out of vram.

After that might try turning down the Power Target or Power Maximum to 90%, or upgrading/downgrading the drivers.

Try disabling Game Overides in the render settings if you have it enabled, sometimes you don’t really need it and it can have a huge impact on the render with it taking ages or crashing.

What does the crash log say?

All of this is great advice. When you render watch your VRam. If its topping out thats likely the issue. Game Overrides will shut off texture streaming, which can contribute to VRam issues.
