Hello, When I add the Fire Particle from the Starter Content to My Scene, my CPU Temps Rise, Shouldn’t my Graphics Card’s Temps rise.
Here are 2 Screenshots with UE and temps at the top right of the screen:
I am on Arch Linux using UE for Archviz, so it is okay, if I have a lower power GPU, as that won’t effect the final render
CPU: Ryzen 5600G undervolted with Stock Cooler
GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 6500XT OC
RAM: 16GB + 4GB(From GPU)
Particles are often rendered on the CPU, you can choose where to render them ( often ), for each emitter, in the details

I can’t find that option, where is it? I can only find an Emitter Actions on the Particle System
It’s on the emitter. Just select the whole emitter and it’s in the details.

Still can’t Here is a screenshot
On the left side, I have selected the Emitter, and on the Left their is only an Emitter Actions Section
That’s a blueprint, not a Niagara system.
You have to edit the actual system
Also, I think that’s a Cascade system, which is being discontinued.
This is what your Cascade system looks like
That top row, shows if the emitter is GPU or CPU ( cpu is not noted ). You can change an emitter to GPU by right clicking on black space at the top
But it’s probably just easier to leave it alone…

I can’t change the position of the fire now but can change the smoke’s position
That could be. You’re just on a journey of discovery now. Tweaking the emitter’s parameters, all kinds of things can happen.
Rather than putting effort in here. I’d recommend learning about Niagara, as that is the current particle system.
It is possible to convert Cascade to Niagara, but it’s quite flaky.

How good is it now after a lot of tweaking?
