Hey There,
For a virtual Production Project, I wondered if it’s possible to have Unreal 5 render out JUST the Post Processing effects. In My case for Example I’d love to have bloom and Lens Flares in a seperate Renderpass for the movie Render Que to overlay ontop of the composite in After Effects.
Anyone knows if this is possible?
Seemed like a legit thing to do…
try this and then see if the new unreal version added other options for render.
but LensFlares maybe they could be rendered separately, but the bloom, that is an effect that is calculated on top of the frame content. Is a mathematical formula based on what is in the frame at that moment. How you can have this as a separate pass? You can also just the bloom in After Effects.
Thanks 4 the reply. Unreal doesn’t seem to have this feature. The Video from the great mr Faucher, I already knew, but nothing much changed in the render Passes. I hope that’s still a thing they’ll reiterate on, as Unreal becomes more and more viable for Video.
I’m not a Technician but I think it should be possible to render the Image and the Postprocessing, because you’re right objects need to be rendered in order to make bloom, but THEEN get rid of the scene and just give me Postprocess on black?!
