Render Fog Pass?

Hello,

Is is possible to render only a fog pass as an image sequence?
Essentially, can I render out just my Exponential Height Fog from my scene?

Alternatively, is it possible to override all the materials in the scene to a single default grey color?
So that if I render out the scene with fog - I can then overlay it in a compositing program with my original image?

Any help would be much appropriated.

Looking for the same exact thing. Have you found out how to do it yet?

+1 on this topic. Being able to separate the volumes or fog as a render layer would give greater control in comp. So if there is any workflow on how to achieve this, it would be highly appreciated.

+1. With ToggleForceDefaultMaterial I could replace all the materials in the scene. Replacing it with a black unlit material would get you there.
