Render distance on insignificant objects?

Hey I was wondering where the ‘cull distance field’ thing or whatever it was, I have these wheat fields / grass meshes I want to not render after so far.

The landscape is painted with similarly colored materials to compensate for whatever small clutterish mesh in on top.

Any advice would be appreciated, I know the density is pretty high but I’m hoping to figure out implementing a slider to increase / decrease that for players. I don’t like using cards really, I figure with nanite I don’t really need to.

Though I might render a grass / wheat LoD later and figure out the card thing just for the distance, this ‘kingdom’ is going to be kinda big. Farms on the outside, and as you get towards the center the land goes uphill.

Anyway any advice will help me, just kinda figuring out where the render distance setting on different objects is. Like a big building doesn’t stop rendering for far far away, but a tiny flagon of ale should disappear several feet from ya.

Easy to set up and they work great:
