I’m getting this error in my render. the brightness changes randomly. I think it has something to do with AA, but I don’t know exactly what. In the low-quality preview, the AA samples show a full black screen. I do not understand why mrq is sampling a black screen. My render is also darker than what I see in the editor.
If you see it in Editor or PIE, then it’s not MRQ. You can try different AA to see if it is indeed AA. It almost looks like some sort of auto-exposure.
AntiAliasing and motion blur are two separate things. AA is only tied to temporal samples when you set the AA method to none. When you say you changed AA quality what do you mean exactly? Can you put the editor into PIE and run the sequence? Do you have auto exposure? If so try and manually set it. Does it happen in any other sequences or any other cameras?
There is nothing in MRQ that will randomly darken that I know of. MRQ goes into Play mode so it could be some logic there. A last ditch effort to rule out MRQ is to enable the Game Overrides section and disable a lot of the cinematic scaling and LOD overrides. Maybe there is a LOD going haywire?
Thank you for responding. I really appreciate it. What I meant by change in quality was increasing my temporal sample count after AA method is set to none.
So the reason I say it’s tied to AA settings is this. WIth AA disabled I get an image in this frame
Is it still dark when you only do one Temporal Sample? I’m not I have seen this before. Is the project small? If so I can take a look if you want to zip it up and send it to me.
