Thanks those who supported me. It helps me to continue doing what I’m doing. My new collection of textures will appear UE Marketplace on November 11. It contains 20 metallic textures. As it took much less time to create it, and they didn’t require such elaboration as my architectural textures, the price will be significantly lower. Hope everyone will be satisfied.
And as said SaOk: you really can purchase these textures separately at www.CrazyTextures.com. The textures have been tested for UE in the first place, but – since my customers might use other game engines – each map(diffuse, specular, roughness, height, normal) is saved in a separate file there.
Unfortunately, I do not make desert textures, as I’m very far from deserts, so I cannot make quality photo references. Speaking about wood textures, on the one hand, it’s easier to create them as it’s possible to find a good reference, but in reality it turns out to be more difficult then to find a good brick wall, for instance. That’s why there’re no wood textures in my collection.
Just a quick reaction to support this work, against price complaint: imagine you are an architect. This kind of material save hours of effort to your team (or yourself), for multiple contracts or potential contracts. Your roof could be only a simple plane, the material does the rest. But the visual quality is photorealistic, and use the UE4 rendering system at its full potential. This is exactly what helps in getting a contract today. You don’t hesitate to pay 150$ for this !
Now, if your are doing a FPS, with a player running at 20 km/s all the time, buying such a pack to have details on the details of a cobblestone is just plain stupid, whatever the price range is !!!
As already posted, it’s a matter of needs for your project.
I’ve personally never seen this level of precision and this quality in a material so-far, in any game engine related marketplaces. Those assets can be considered as the same level as a photorealistic non-realtime rendering for a archviz simulation.
Regards,
I’ve started to work on my new collection now, where all the textures will be at least 4K. However, I’m afraid, when it’s ready,8K textures will be a standard in the industry. It’s a vicious circle
Increadible pack, had to buy it from sale and dont regret. Just simply amazing. As small problem, havent managed to create POM materials yet since the height map is combined with other textures. Is there way to convert texture object to use only the alpha channel? Or should I make duplicate of the texture and disable other except the height map? I am bit rookie with the materials still so any advices are always welcome.
Edit: Or nevermind, I duplicated it and set RGBCurve and saturation to zero. Working superb now.
Today’s the last day when my textures are on sale. If you want to purchase my textures, but haven’t done it yet, today is the last day this year, when you can buy them at a special price.
@CrazyTextures : I’ve downloaded the free pack you posted here but neither of them have a “tiling-system”: am I loosing something? Sorry I’m quite a noob of unreal! ^^’
If I could afford it I surely buy it, because it’s very great quality and time saver, but since I can’t I wold have to do it myself in Substance Designer ! Which I have still to learn how use it HAHA XD sad
I upgraded package of Architectural textures that was previously named ‘38 Architectural Textures’.
From now on there won’t be any number in the name, as I’m going to always add new textures to it.
Earlier the pack contained 38 textures, now, for UE 4.13 and higher, it consists of 54 quality textures, ready for use in your projects.
The quality of my textures is invariably high, almost all of them are 2048Х2048.
Each texture includes a diffuse map, a specular map, a roughness map, a normal map, a height map and an occlusion map.
What’s new:
5 new grass textures added (Grass 01, Grass 02, Ground 01, Ground 02, Ground 03). All of them are 2048X2048 .
New variations for bricks_01 and bricks_09 added – bricks_01_vert and bricks_09_vert. You’ll need them to create vertical brick rows commonly used in window openings. I’m going to add vertical variations for each brick texture in the future.
I added several old textures that were not included in the pack earlier because of their smaller resolution.
The textures roofing 01, Stones 04, Stones 05 are 1024X1024, but they’re quality textures as well. Someone might need them.
I also added 4 textures with extra high resolution. Bricks_14, Bricks_15, Stones_15, Stones_16 are 4096X4096.
From now on I’ll try to make all my textures with such high resolution.
Hi everybody! I’ve updated my collection. Now all the materials are made as material instances. Such important settings as Displacement intensity, NormalMap Intensity, Roughness and Spec multiplier, Tessellation Multiplier and Tiling scale. You may adjust in them directly.
