When I reimport a skeletal mesh that has clothing assigned, the mesh might appear in the static mesh browser but it will disappear when placed anywhere in the world. Removing the assigned clothing breaks the vertex positions of the mesh section that had clothing assigned. The only way to un-break the mesh is to un-assign the clothing asset, reimport the mesh again, and manually re-paint the clothing again. Reassigning the clothing asset from before will break the mesh again. Mesh has 4 influence weights.
