Summary
Is this an Amazon Server issue or something at my end? I’m in Oceania Region but swapping regions still times out. Started getting this after the previous update. Seemed to come right, perhaps after changing regions and restarting router. Now after the last update I cannot connect to any Fortnite Map Server and cannot connect to start a UEFN Session to test my updates? It has continued with the error “region: NONE” despite trying common suggestions to fix.Is it likely to be a Server issue, or something at my end(quite likely mine again)?

In past this has been because the Matchmaking region in Fornite Creative has not been set correctly. Try setting this to NA Central (NC) then run any known working published Island.
Leave FNC running and go into UEFN and try and run matchmaking in your area.
Remember to turn off/remove any VPN software as Fornite/UEFN will lock out matchmaking on this.
Check you Windows Defender settings.

Hi, thanks for the possible solutions. No go, seems a confluence of issues and I’m not sure I’m not being a karen again. There have been reports of issues in our region and for others. The connection to all servers dropped from 9,999 ms to normal yesterday when Epic said they were looking in to it, and now it remembers my Region. So it seems server side. Though the “beacon” issue has arisen and I’m working through others solutions though it’s not working yet. A very frustrating new issue as I try to hold on to all the cool creative possibilities with Epic’s huge update recently. If I find a solution that seems useful I’ll post it, or delete this thread. Very Very frustrating. Always some issue popping up, I’m certain a solution will be found. Cheers
region: NONE has returned in UEFN and 9,999m/s lag in Fortnite. No server connections, OCE or otherwise. Could be the ISP, but testing VPN’s etc and DNS tricks didn’t work. Might wait and see a bit more if it’s a server issue, while working on planning and other asset creation. hmm
