Refraction not affecting particle system (Niagara)

I’ve made a refraction material for my particle system and it works in the preview window but in-game the particles are unaffected. (picture is in-game, I put a mesh behind the particle system. The mesh is affected by the refraction while the particle is not.)

Meanwhile in the preview it looks fine.

I’ve looked around for the same issue but answers seem to be outdated.

Did you ever find a solution to this? Im coming up against it. Refraction working fine in the Niagara preview but in game, not.

The material of the emitter/s within the Niagara system that need to be refracted by another in the stack need to have the advanced translucency setting ‘Render After DOF’ disabled.
