Reflective Translucency - Not Working


I have this documentation that shows the steps needed to create a reflective translucent material.

Unfortunately, this documentation does not work. As soon as I apply a Metalic value of 1, the material turns grayish. It does not matter what color the Material is. I have tried this using UE4.6.1 and UE4.7.0P7.

Is there an extra checkbox or dropdown value that needs to be selected to make this work?


Currently Translucent reflections will only work with movable (Dynamic) lights. When 4.8 is released (which is available via the GitHub Master Branch currently) there will be translucent reflections for static/stationary lighting.

Is that only for lights or will reflections in 4.8 also use sphere reflection captures or the sky light?
