Red looks pink (Importing Textures in UE5.5)

When I import a texture the red looks pink

A video better than a thousand words.

This is the image (Maybe you can download it and try)

Why?.. How do I see the original colors?
Thank you so much!!

Hi there @Ivan3z

I’ve had something like this occur when importing textures as well. This post helped me resolve it. I hope it helps you! Color Loss / Washed Out Colors - Does Anyone Know how to fix this?

Hi @FrostyJas
I think I found a solution… I don’t know if it’s a good idea…
I just saw something called red Chromaticity and play with it a little…
When the value is -1 I have a fantastic red

What do you think?
Is it a good idea to use that like that?
Or could it be problematic in the future?

Thank you so much!!

I don’t see why it would cause a problem. You could push some other textures in and see if it makes any other colors look ‘off’.

Ok… I’ll try it.
I’m going to make a backing in blender… it will take 5 minutes

Nope… this time it looks exactly the same as in the texture

But completely different from Blender shading (I know this is normal)

So all is good? No off-shades or faded colors?

I think it looks good… take a look for yourself.

I will say that it is a random problem

Look perfect to me.

Yes… I don’t know what to think…

What do you think about using the -1 in the Red Chromaticity?

I can imagine (at best) that if the problem is fixed one day then my texture will change color.

I can imagine (worst case scenario) that it could cause a crash or something like that.

It shouldn’t cause a crash that I’m aware of. But, if it does post it here and I’ll take a peek.
