Recommended way to get started with writing CPP plugins?

Hello!

A bit about me to set the stage, I’ve been in software development for a few years now, I’ve done some limited work in CPP and am comfortable with the basics but I haven’t used it extensively. Somewhat recently I have gotten into gamedev and even more recently, have started testing Unreal. I wanted to jump right in and start with writing a plugin as I want to up my familiarity with C++ but am feeling a bit overwhelmed with how massive everything is.

I found this page but it stops short of what I’m looking for. Even after extensive Google’ing and YouTube’ing, I feel like I haven’t found many “basic examples of writing a cpp plugin for ue5”. Are there any recommended resources that I’ve missed?

Part of the “overwhelmed” feeling when browsing the API docs may stem from my general inexperience with CPP, so if anyone has some recommendations for getting more comfortable with it (particularly in the UE5 context) I’m all ears.
