When adding an Attribution to the island, it has a field where you can add an attribution link.
I added two attributions to my island with links and received a failed review and a sanction.
I would like to request that Epic removes the option to add attribution links if it will return as failed for violating rule:
1.12 Keep It on the Island - Other than social media handles/channels that comply with Rule 1.2, do not include external links or QR codes anywhere on your island.
One or more attributions
Steps to Reproduce
After finishing a memory calculation, go to publish your island.
Add attribution with links in the fields provided on the form.
Expected Result
Attribution links should not cause a map to fail review if Epic provides us a field to list attribution links when publishing.
Observed Result
Attribution links causes a map to fail review and adds a sanction to the creator’s account.
@Flak I’m so sorry to ping here, and only reach out to staff when I really need help. I’m hoping someone can review this because I feel it is a huge discrepancy and can affect many creators if this happens to them as well.
In addition, I resubmitted and removed the attribution links as requested and received another sanction for IARC, even though this IARC rating is the same as JELLY POP FN 1.0.
Which is great and I am very thankful . Going forward I am now faced with a failed review from the updated code submitted which is : 0831-5678-7108 failing for IARC even though IARC is the same as the approved version code: 7862-2774-1153 and the same as my FN 1.0 Jelly Pop Map of E10+( E for Everyone)
I will continue the process and hope for the best.
I thank the Epic Support Team for such a timely review and response in the matter and appreciate all the help they have provided. And thank you Flak just for being awesome. If anyone else experiences this, I hope this post provides some insight on how to approach it positively and provides (some) hope that everything will be ok.
The same thing happened to me I just changed the thumbnail of my island and now I get that it failed review because of my attributions that have always been there.
I had a published release that got approved. Made a leaderboard update but IARC was now failing review though nothing changed about my answers from that small update. I did adjust some answers to ensure it was rated teen instead of 10+ as there are guns in my game but just for use with clickers and not combat. Now it failed and was due to links in one or more attributions. These were also present in my initial release that passed. I just resubmitted without the links on the attributions. Fingers crossed!
