Publishing

Summary

When I publish a new version of this project, I receive a publishing error. I am attempting to publish private version: 5406-1291-7151

Steps to Reproduce

I go into the creative portal. I select the latest private version and I click the publish button to the right of it. I then confirm that the triangle representing the memory calculation has been completed is green. I update the info and then I click the publish button. All appears to be fine, until I get the error in the portal.

Expected Result

The expected behavior is that the island publishes without an error

Observed Result

I receive an email stating that the island has published properly, but when I look in the portal it says there is an error. The message states, “Publishing Error: Something went wrong during publishing. Please try again by creating a new release. If you encounter further problems, please generate a new private version.”. I tried what the message said to do, but it made no difference, and the map does not update.

Additional Notes

I am currently unable to publish an update for this map. I also tried adding a trailer, which did not work. I have since removed the trailer, but this made no difference. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated, as I am currently stuck running an older version that I can’t update. Thanks!

It happened to me last year. I uploaded a new version and it let me publish wo any error. You need to make changes in the map. Or it won’t let you upload the new version.

Hi Latunda,

I had made a few changes on the map, with the hope it would fix things, but it didn’t work. :frowning:

I had the same issue with this map before, after adding a trailer, and removing the trailer had fixed it. I didn’t add the trailer back, so unfortunately I can’t use the same fix this time.

While waiting for a response from Epic, I went in again and moved a couple more items and this time it worked. The thing is, I was moving trees and rocks, which shouldn’t have fixed it … and yet it did. Lol!

You just never know what will fix these things.
