Has anyone found a way to disallow shadows on a given static mesh similar to the “Receive Shadow” option in Maya? Is there some sort of check box I’m missing somewhere or is the only way to do that by linking the texture to emissive.
“You cannot set an actor to not receive shadows. This would require lighting channels, which cannot be used with deferred rendering.” -> so you will have to do it with an emissive material
Yea i wish the light channels were in U4, oh well, thanks for the response.
Switch your renderer to forward, and choose a lighting channel. Viola problem solved
