Reality Capture Error

Hi, I install Reality Capture 1.4.1 on my computer, but when I press “Run” I have an error:

Already tried:

  • Restarting PC
  • Reinstall Reality Capture
  • Reinstall on difference device

Hi Rarisso,
Error code 1618, also known as “MSI Installation Already In Progress”, occurs when the Microsoft Installer is already in the middle of another installation:

  • A previous installation is still running
  • The computer needs to be rebooted to complete a previous installation
  • There are two sessions running the MSI installer on the machine

To fix this error, you can try the following:

  • Wait for the other installer to finish
  • Reboot the computer to flush out the previous installation
  • Open the Task Manager, go to the Processes tab, and find msiexec.exe
  • End any msiexec.exe processes that are running
  • Disable any antivirus or security software temporarily during the installation process
  • Delete the contents of the “%TEMP%” folder on your computer
  • Use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove any previously failed installations

Also, there is no Run button in RealityCapture. Did you mean Start? How did you install RealityCapture?

I did everything you told me to do, but now I have error Code: 1601

This seems like a Windows error: Error - 1601 - Windows Installer service could not be accessed. This issue may occur if one of the following conditions is true: The Windows Installer files are damaged or are missing ; You install or remove a program that uses the Windows Installer Microsoft Software Installation (MSI) package file.

Ok, do you know how can I fix this error then?

Sorry, I missed the question. I used start button from Epic Games Launcher. But when I try to ‘Run’ it by using Icon on my desktop, it’s happening exactly the same.
