Realistic glass + reflections in VR

Hi all,

Working on a VR Archviz scene using the forward renderer which has lots of glass. I know for a long time glass has been a problem with UE4 so I am wondering if anything has been added/updated to help make the reflections look realistic and not have that parallax look to it. Using 4.17.

You can use planar reflection, but it can be expensive.
Here is the docs

Unfortunately it is too expensive for VR. I have started using the High Quality reflection setting on materials and High precision tangents basis on meshes. seems to help

Maybe I am bad at searching, but almost the only other fairly recent question I’ve seen on this topic is this one:

Doesn’t anyone have any answers they can share with the community?
