RC 1.4 Getting "Stuck" on often on Texturing and FBX Exports

I’m getting this more and more with RC 1.4 (hadn’t been a noticable issue in 1.3) where this texturing process was started at about 9:40, and 8min in, the progress bar and “finish estimation” stop updating, and now it’s been over an hour later.

Seeing this with texturing and fbx exports for completed/solved/meshed components.
Some are actually very small projects (8-10 UHD images), this one is a “typical” project of 43 JPG images 5184x3456.

Texturing worked fine for an earlier version of the component with 34 images. This “being stuck” happened after adding/aligning 9 more images and solving the mesh.

OBJ exports seem to be working fine, but I prefer to export FBX with cameras for use in downstream tools, but FBX exports are suffering this same “getting stuck”, even if OBJ export worked. This is even for small projects of 8-10 images.

Also, pressing “abort” then just gets stuck on “aborting the process…”
This is on a machine with 64GB Ram and an RTX A6000.

Hi @Njushchyshyn,
this is really strange for such small models. What are you texture or output settings? Is this also happening after application restart?

Thanks for the reply, @OndrejTrhan !

Regarding the FBX export, yes, it does happen after app restart.
It seems like it has something to do with the undistortion portion of the process.

Reviewing my fbx export folders, I was finding two “unfinished” JPGs that should have been undistorted images. By changing the Undistort setting to No in the FBX Export options, the exports completed fine (though my camera images are not undistorted as hoped).

Tested on a small project (18 frames captured from video) and a large-ish project (400+ SLR captured images) with same results in both projects.

The small, 18-video frame project zips down to a bit under 200MB.
Here’s a link that includes the source images in case it would be of help.

Hi, thank you for your data.
Which export settings have you used? I was able to export the FBX model without any stuck. The issue here seems to be, that the images are too distorted or focal length is too extreme (it is out of recommended values).

I’m having the same problem, but with almost all of my actions. I tried a reinstall, and it didn’t work. I downgraded (I keep the old install files for some reason) and I’m having the same issue.
