Hello,
According to the documentation, we need windows and DX12 to use RTX.
Since this is supported by Vulkan, when can we expect this functionality to be added to UE4 Vulkan rendering ? It would allow us to use it and have the same results on Windows and Linux, which would be great nowadays !
Thank You
With recent introduction of tools like ue4-docker enabling various type of automation, CI/CD deployments and pixel streaming, Unreal Engine is a great platform for real time SaaS applications.
Of course, because of the maturity of the container runtimes, for now the platform of choice is linux and consequently Vulkan API, having the RTX technology would enable your customers to deliver photorealistic products that rasterization simply cannot match.
Please UE guys, I’m working in one of these companies, a feedback would be very much appreciated.
Cheers

Dear valued Unreal Engine user,
The new UE4 roadmap can be found here:
https://portal.productboard.com/epicgames/1-unreal-engine-public-roadmap/tabs/20-unreal-engine-4-26-fall-2020
It looks as though Vulkan Ray Tracing is not mentioned, so the feature will likely not be available until 4.27 onwards.
As this is currently a community supported forum, it can be rare for Epic to visit here.
