since a few days the Ray Tracing option is missing in my Post Process Volumes (UE 5.4). DirectX 12 and Ray Tracing is activated in the project settings. Path tracing seems to work fine though.
I tried:
Creating a new project
Validating Unreal Engine installation
Delete Config folder (reset all settings and reactivate them)
Use 5.3 and 4.27 - option appears in 4.27 but ray tracing seems not to work.
I also checked my RTX 3060 for whether Ray Tracing still works - I think it does (Nvidia tech demo ran fine and scored normal).
Any ideas why the Ray tracing option might be missing? Other than reinstalling UE 5.4 I can’t think of anything anymore.
So maybe it was the 5.4.1 update that finally got rid of it. I still had the option in 5.4 I’m pretty sure. But in 5.3.2 it doesn’t exist either for me.
Is there a console command to reactivate ray tracing?
