Rainbow in the sky?

Does anyone out there know the best way to go about creating a volumetric based Rainbow in the sky ?

ANY form of rainbow effect really ?

It needs to work in VR as well

Perhaps via a post process attached to the pawn ?

I would use a mesh personally.

Trying to make this a post effect in VR just sounds like a massive performance sink to me.

until they have perfected caustics in the new release I am using a simple plane with transparency.

not what I want but it will do for now

I can just imagine how it might work using volumetrics and caustics and even particles… just as it does in the real world… but I guess a plane will suffice :frowning:

Definitely use a grid. Other options will be significantly more resource intensive.
