Radiator Material

How would you approach creating this material? Looking to do a more realistic approach since it will be part of a hero asset, I know for a typical game asset I could get away with just filling in the holes black like in Dirt 2, but this will be viewed much closer up. Would like to do some sort of parallax so it can be see through head on, but not from an angle.

You could try with POM.

Depending on what you can afford, modelling the whole thing might actually be a feasible idea. UE is quite good at handling loads of polygons.

How close are you really going to get to the radiator?
Are you going to need to actually see through the object?
