Race Manager HUD cannot be hidden

Summary

Since the update V28.X an issue was fixed that the UI HUD of the Race Manager could not be shown. However, since that fix, the opposite is true. You cannot disable the element anymore.

It’s impacting our experience since it overlaps with our custom UI and creates duplicate information on the screen of the player.

Steps to Reproduce

Create a race manager device,
Disable the checkboxes “Display Race HUD” and “Display Race Progress on HUD”
Start the race

Expected Result

The HUD/UI of the race manager is not visible.

Observed Result

The HUD element is visible and all UI elements/labels have the value of XXX

Platform(s)

There is a way to hide Race Checkpoint from your HUD. You have to set every checkpoint to the same number, so it has no start or finish. You can then put the timer device on HUD that starts the timer once the player crossed your first checkpoint, that has a volume or mutator zone hidden in the checkpoint. Then you set Timer Start on Player Enters Volume/Mutator zone. The same thing is done at the finish line where the last checkpoint and it’s own volume or mutator zone stops the timer On Player Exit/Enter

I suspect it would break the race progression. Why would we use the race checkpoints and the race manager at all if we can do everything manually?

Yes, it does break race progression but you cannot add race checkpoint into your game without the HUD issue. This is the only way you can keep Race Checkpoints with nothing on your hud, even if you don’t have Race Manager
