Hi guys!

A new update just dropped for Bridge in UE5. Here’s the short but sweet list of changes to expect:

  • Docking support for the Bridge panel in the editor.
  • Fixed master materials missing on export.
  • Fixed UE5 Plugin Load Error: “Background service stopped.”
  • Fixed compression settings for Decals.
  • Resolved minor bugs.

If you run into any issues, please write in to support@quixel.com with any details you can provide and my team will assist you as soon as practicable.

Cheers!

After update UE5 Unable to pack

Hi, Already wrote to quixel support & replied by Yasir Q (Quixel)

The solution as follows:
Create a new folder and add it as a Library Path in Bridge>Preferences within Unreal Engine 5.

Additionally, I also did the following:

Uninstalled Desktop version of Bridge plus deleted the old folder structure. Than, I created new “megascan library” folder. After this, version 2021.0.3 started working on both UE5EA & Main branch properly without any further issue.

Thank you for quick response from Quixel Support Team.

Hi @bengmusic @kumaranjeya
Please try the new update to Quixel Bridge 2021.0.04 as described in

Quixel Bridge 21.0.4 Update to Unreal 5.0 EA2 Epic Launcher Binary version

@ Jimbohalo10
Thanks to the Quixel Support Team for the Bridge 2021.0.4 update for UE5EA. Referring to the error that encountered in the previous version, in this new update there isn’t any issues. All seems to be fine.

Hope that this Bridge 2021.0.4 will be updated in the UE5 Main branch as well. So that I can test in UE5 Main as well.

Thank you.

Hi @kumaranjeya,
I have updated my fork of [ue5-main] repository with the Quixel Bridge Plugin 2021.0.4.
See - Visual Studio 2022 Preview 4 now builds and runs - Development Discussion / Unreal Engine 5 Early Access - Unreal Engine Forums

It will hopefully work with VS2019 but takes a long time to build

Hi @Jimbohalo10

Thank you for the update of UE5-main with Bridge 2021.0.4.
Yes. I will try out VS 2022 with UE5 main.
