Question on using Subsurface Profile

Hi guys,
I’ve been experimenting with the use of Subsurface Profile but it seems that no matter how I’ve adjusted it (For example, putting ridiculous colors in the Subsurface Profile) I can’t seemed to notice any difference in the appearance of my hand models. My scene is pretty straight forward, there’s only 1 skylight with IBL, with 2 lights in the scene. I was hoping if someone might be able to shed some light on some settings I might have missed when setting it up. I’m following the instructions in here

Find the problem, turns out it was because I was working on a mac!

Subsurface scattering is currently disabled on all OpenGL platforms, not just the Mac. We’ve got a bug to fix this.
