Quest 2 Thowing with XR Template (holding on too long)

I’m borrowing a quest 2 from a friend and tried the game I built using the latest, 4.27.2, XR Template. It looks good but the throwing is a complete non starter. It seems the grip trigger has too much of a range of motion. Unlike the WMR grip which is allows for a quick release, it seems that it just makes the user hold on too long. Without a lot of conscious effort everything just goes into the ground. Not sure how to tweak this kind of thing. Is this an easy fix?
