Pushing verse changes doesn’t do anything in today’s update, to push verse changes you need to push ALL changes and wait for the content service to update
@Snownymous Thank you for your report! Can you please re-post using the “New Issue” option on the Issues and Bug Reporting forums ? Posts with this feature are connected directly into our development team so we can quickly get to them!
For more information, such as how to get the reference ID, please check out the article here: Using the Creative and UEFN Bug Reporting Form
@Snownymous can you provide some repro steps? We are trying to isolate the issue right now and wanted to get a bit more information.
I have had this issue ever since the last update, before 27.00^ Happend to me after I added a texture to Asset Reflection.
I have a variable in a project that I can set to true/false, setting it to false will disable the end game conditions, yesterday this was working just fine when pushing verse changes, as of today without any edits to my code setting this var to false when it was true, then pushing verse changes will result in nothing being changed in the game, only until I push ALL changes my verse edits will be pushed to my game.
Here is an offical bug report on the matter, I would have done one but the forms don’t let me and give me errors. CRITICAL - Verse hot reload broken 27.00
This has been a problem since 26.30, they’re aware of it, just don’t seem to care to fix it. Not new. Music devices are FAR more important.
Hi all:
I understand the frustration here. We are aware of the issues surrounding Verse hot-reload and I can assure you that we (including myself) are actively investigating ways to improve this workflow. We have several fixes already scheduled for upcoming releases which will fix various scenarios in which Verse hot-reload does not work (especially related to asset reflection), along with an improvement that will also explicitly notify you when a hot-reload operation has failed on the server and why.
There are some cases where unfortunately Verse hot-reload will not be able to be used and you will have to do a “full” Push Changes, but hopefully with these upcoming improvements it will be more clear as to what went wrong and the UI will prompt you to push changes directly when the hot-reload operation fails.
EDIT: As of 28.00
, the UI should now pop up and prompt you when your Verse hot-reload operation fails and allow you to do a full [Push Changes] operation instead. Admittedly this is only an incremental improvement, but hopefully it will help reduce confusion surrounding your Verse changes.
Hey there CovertOnion! Some more info that might help. This is only affecting my games that use asset reflection, a project that is old enough to not have asset reflection enabled, pushing verse changes work.
