PS1 style bush [exported from blender] plane clipping and blurred [SOLVED]

Hello, I am newbie in ue and I’m trying to make short game with retro psx graphic. I am trying to add foliage that i made in blender and I can’t figure out settings in unreal engine. I set texture filter to nearest but mesh is still blurred and second problem is clipping

Set Blend Mode to Masked and Alpha to Opacity Mask


Needs to be masked, not translucent

Ok, I set it to masked, clipping is fixed but now black parts aren’t translucent

Because it disables opacity, you need to use the opacity mask output instead

and set a proper alpha threshold. masked does not support gradients. it’s whether on or off. or you gotta dither it based on the greyscale.

just a lil add: you could make the polygons fan around the center and put vertex colors on it. black center bottom vertex gives you free fake ao. that’s what i would do on the ps1. (and on the nds i’m using now for my retro graphics needs :))
