Instant crash on opening upgraded project. Old RHI issue.

upgrade to UE5.8 via opening project from 5.8 window using Copy

Additional Notes
Tried troubleshooting.
- Created a copy of 5.7 project added blank level and assigned it as startup.
-project opened after that
- opening Main level resulted in same crash
- continuing from 1. - resaved all assets via “resave all” on Game/Content
- metahuman entries were missing. Enabled them and restarted
- validation check on main level
- switched viewport to unlit
- forced save
- main level opened
- saved againg and restarted
- same crash
When I had the project opened in 5.8 it run at half the framerate of the 5.7 version. Also older version of project opened just fine without the need for initial blank level. In unrelated testing with Niagara FLIP sims same performance hit on 5.8 even without the everlasting template errors in 5.7.
