So I’ve got this issue with visual studio, where I load my project in the UE and open VS2013. Then upon loading I receive this error:
"The ‘Visual C++ Project System Package’ package did not load correctly.
The problem may have been caused by a configuration change or by the installation of another extension. You can get more information by examining the file:
The log is listed below, everything builds successfully except these two lines:

Please help! These kinds of issues ruin the learning experience for me and end up being very frustrating when they appear to be unsolvable through a few searches/ or forum searching.
The issue began after I installed Maya, was briefly resolved via Sys Restore, and returned an hour later. Can’t open C++ projects in Visual Studios however the Editor works just fine so I’m assuming its a VS issue.
This may have been an issue to do with the version of Visual Studio you downloaded, there are two express versions one for Windows and the other for Windows Desktop, the one you need is the desktop version (the other is meant for the windows store).
However just the other day they introduced a new Community version of Visual Studio which is equivalent to the Pro version, but free to use if you are an individual developer (or a team of 5 or less) and your game makes less than $1 million per year.
You can find the download link from here, I would recommend giving it a try as it has more features including the ability to use plugins, and is a huge improvement over the express version in my opinion.
Thank you for your response. I will be sure to check this out as soon as possible. I’m pretty sure I had used the professional version that is accessible if your a student through BizSpark. Regardless I’ll give these changes a go and see what comes of it.
Could you please download this file? Save it to your desktop and remove the .txt extension. Run the file, and it will create a new info.txt file on your desktop. Upload that file back here. That can possibly help us narrow down what is happening.
