Project and Plugin level shaders

This needs some love guys, we shouldn’t need to put shaders in the engine directory.

I know that this thread is pretty much dead or has been dead for a while now, but any progress regarding this?
This is mostly targeted towards RCaloca since they seem to be an epic staff member.

@RCaloca, I would like to pipe up to say this feature would be neat to have in a future version.

As the engine moves to expose more and more of its internals for scripting, API and tool access (like Niagara), it would be valuable to have the Materials and shader system receive a similar overhaul.

Hello, came here to say I found a not so pretty way to achieve this.
